Description:
The HD-A841 SCT Compression Tester is a precision instrument designed to measure the compressive strength of liner and fluting materials according to the SCT method. SCT stands for Short Span Compression Test, which determines the stacking ability of corrugated boxes by testing paper or paperboard samples. This test is critical for box manufacturers to produce strong boxes while using minimum raw material, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising box strength.
This tester operates with a measuring range of 7-3000N and test speed of 3±1mm/min with accuracy of ±1%. The distance between clamps is set at 0.70±0.05mm for standard SCT testing. Clamping force is 2300±500N with clamp size of 30mmx15mm to securely hold the specimen during testing. It uses a standard specimen size of 150x15mm, which is prepared using the included sample cutter with cutting thickness of ≤0.1mm for precise sample preparation.
The HD-A841 features an LCD screen for easy operation and data viewing, built-in data processing function for automatic calculation of compressive strength, and an integrated thermal printer for direct printing of test reports. It runs on single phase AC 220V±22V, 50Hz power supply.
