The HD-AA508 Ink Rub Resistance Tester is a precision testing instrument designed to evaluate the abrasion resistance and rub resistance of ink layers on materials such as labels, folding cartons, corrugated boxes, printed paper, and other coated substrates. It is widely used in printing, packaging, and paper industries to test ink adhesion, colorfastness, and coating durability.
This tester can perform multiple tests including ink rub resistance, dry and wet discoloration, paper fuzz testing, and special friction tests. It helps manufacturers and QC labs analyze the causes of poor abrasion resistance, ink layer falling-off, reduced printability of PS board, and weak adhesion of coating layers on various products.
The HD-AA508 features microcomputer control with a liquid crystal display for easy operation and accurate parameter setting. It supports multiple friction speeds: 43±1 times/min, 21, 43, 85, and 106 times/min adjustable, to match different testing standards. Friction load options include 905g/2LB, 1810g/4LB, and 2040g/20N to simulate different pressure conditions. The friction stroke is fixed at 60mm and the friction area is 50×100mm L×W.
The frequency setting range is 0-9999 times with auto-shutdown function for safety and efficiency. After completing the set number of rub cycles, the machine stops automatically. The compact design measures 330×300×410mm and weighs about 18kg. It operates on AC 220V, 60W power.
Built to meet international standards, the HD-AA508 complies with TAPPI-UM486 and GB/T 7706-2008. With its stable performance, adjustable testing parameters, and reliable results, this Ink Rub Resistance Tester is an essential tool for printing and packaging companies to ensure ink durability, print quality, and coating adhesion before products reach the market.
