Description:
The HD-G817-3 Gloss Meter is a precision instrument designed for measuring the surface mirror gloss of both metal and non-metal materials. It is widely used across industries including coatings, printing ink, wood products, marble and granite, vitrified polished bricks, ceramic tiles, plastic, and paper. Built to comply with ISO-2813, ASTM-C584, ASTM-D523, DIN-67530, ASTM-D2457, JND-A60, and JND-P60 standards, it ensures accurate and internationally accepted gloss readings.
This 3-angle gloss meter measures at 20°, 60°, and 85° projection angles to cover high, medium, and low gloss surfaces. The measuring range is 0-2000 GU at 20°, 0-1000 GU at 60°, and 0-160 GU at 85°. The measuring spot size varies by angle: 10x10mm at 60°, 9x15mm at 20°, and 5x38mm at 85°. Resolution is 0.1 for 0-1000 and 1.0 for 1000-2000, with repeatability of >0.2 GU for 0-100 GU and >0.2% for 100-2000 GU. Indication error is ±1.5 GU.
It supports multiple measuring modes including automatic measurement, manual measurement, single measurement, average measurement, and cross measurement for flexible testing combinations. The meter has a bilingual interface with Chinese and English language options and includes an output port to connect with micro printers for direct real-time data printing.
Compact and portable with dimensions of 159 x 49 x 72mm, the HD-G817-3 comes with a power adapter, user manual, warranty certification, and standard calibration board. Optional micro-printer is available. This gloss meter is essential for QC labs and manufacturers who need to control surface appearance, coating quality, and visual consistency of finished products.
